I was drafted into the Army in 1970. Not the best time to be drafted or going into the military with the war in Vietnam still going on. After basic training and a six month tour at Fort McCellean, Alabama I received orders to serve a year in Germany. I felt very lucky to be spending time in Europe. I was stationed at Heidelberg and worked as a graphic designer with an eight hour day.
While there I was able to do some traveling and visited several citys and areas in Germany. This gallery is some of the places I visited. Back in 1970 I took 35mm slides. I scanned these and they weren't the best quality image, but did some enhancements and I think they came out pretty interesting.
