These two stone griffins guard the courthouse entrance and two gargoyles are found on each side of the heavy stone tower. The tower reached 145 feet in height and it includes a four-faced clock and 4500 lb. bell. As I photographed these elements I thought about the craftsman that made them. The skill these men had, and I'm sure they were all immigrants, were all artists in their own right.
